I really have a problem with the way this has been portrayed in the media. It’s not like the uselessness of these two women is anything new, but the contrast being made is clear: the men are serious, they discuss things, and the women are just being silly women and stealing candy. As if our women politicians are really any more useless than our male ones.

I totally agree with Shax! We should not fall into this discourse. Women politicians are not worse than men. And If you have to make fun of what they’re doing, then it’s better not to talk about it from a gender point of view.
Plus, I would rather have women who suck in the parliament then not have women at all.
